For the third time in 3 years, West Orange - Cove CISD has earned a Property Casualty Alliance of Texas (PCAT) dividend.

Kerry Sims, Executive Vice President and Chief Operation Officer of North American Solutions made the $82,579.87 presentation to WOCCISD Interim Superintendent Bill Conway.

Previous presentations to West Orange – Cove CISD have been in the amount of $28,440.61 in 2008; and in the amount of $19,160.43 in 2009.

Dividends result from lower than normal claims.

PCAT is a Texas interlocal governmental risk program representing 104 school districts and over $27 million in annual contributions.

“Property/casualty insurance is a significant annual recurring expense for school districts, so it makes sense to embrace a long-term strategy to achieve budget stability and the lowest long-term cost. Dividends are just one of the many ways in which PCAT helps schools reduce their ultimate insurance costs,” said Jack Melton, CEO of North American Solutions, the program administrator for PCAT.
