ufc 116 weigh in

All fighers slated to participate in this weekend’s UFC 116 event are weighed in and ready for combat.

Headlining the card will be a heavyweight title unification bout between Brock Lesnar, who came in at 265 lbs., and Shane Carwin, who tipped the scales at 265 lbs. as well.

UFC 116 will take place tomorrow evening, July 3, from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Bonnar weighed in at 205 and Soszynski was 205, as well. They’ll square off on the main card Saturday at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas to finish what they started at UFC 110 in Sydney in February.

In that bout, an inadvertent headbutt from Soszynski opened a cut on Bonnar’s head that forced the doctor to halt the fight, giving Soszynski a technical knockout win. Bonnar appealed the decision, but his hope to have the fight ruled a no contest was denied. The decision was controversial enough that UFC president Dana White ordered up Saturday’s rematch.
